A pleasure to read from start to finish. The dry humour, the relaxed pacing, the slow build of the relationship and the lovely ending all made for a completely satisfying experience. There's something very endearing about a vulnerable Jensen. :D

I have totally zero knowledge of baseball so I hesitated over reading this originally but I'm so glad I did. The scene where Jensen found out about Jared's contract was done perfectly, natural and beleivable. Adored Jensen taking the heat for Jared and then blurting out that he didn't want Jared to leave *happy smile*

For some reason I just found sleepy snuggly Jensen adorable :) Thanks for the time and effort that must have gone into this

I know nothing about baseball (only that is really boring :P) but that was a great story, your bitchy Jensen was all kinds of awesome! :D

I do not understand baseball at all. And I'm really okay with that. *g* This story though, this story I understood. Your characterisation was just superb. I laughed my way through the whole thing. Jensen's character was just so perfectly realised and Jared's was a great foil. The story itself was simply wonderful and I loved that the big drama part of it, wasn't so much of a drama at all. It felt realistic and mature and just fit in with these characters so well.

Really, this is one of those stories that I can see myself coming back to read time and again and it still feeling fresh and funny every time.

I really enjoyed this a great deal. I particularly was fond of your characterisation of Jensen, his awesome snark-to-the-point-of-evilness, and his quieter moments. And Jared, yee.

This was a whole lot of fun, thank you!

Most of the time I actually actively despise baseball. It's not baseball's fault, it's my boyfriend's: he's a Yankees fan (Yankees! I mean, really.) and subscribes to the YES network, so he can see ALL THE GAMES. So sitting down to read a story about baseball (even though it was mentioned to have Bull Durham connotations, which I am required to love as both a fan of Tim Robbins and a North Carolinian) was pretty much preposterous.

That's not how it happened, though. I started, I couldn't stop, it was AWESOME.

Your Jensen was such a fun, new guy to read, but somehow (somehow!) enough like the one we see in interviews and at cons and whatnot that he was thoroughly recognizable. Jared was Jared, of course, a big sweet puppy and no, Jensen obviously (duh) could not resist him.

TL;DR: I enjoyed this very much. It was well-written and fun, and I look forward with RELISH to reading more from you in the future.

This is such a lovely comment - thank you so much! I'm so glad you took a chance on the story and enjoyed it. (But I totally feel your pain over YES, although my Red Sox fan friend says not to let their horrible commentators turn you off baseball forever.)

Awww I loved this! I liked the slow relationship between the two of them and how they made it work for them :)

Thank you so very, very much for two guys who play pro ball getting together without the sturm und drang that happens in most sports fic.

You've left me smiling and with the distinct urge to go watch the Jays screw it up in the eighth... again.

Thank you so much! I'm glad the fic made you smile.

And as a Cubs fan, I definitely sympathize. Maybe Josh Beckett's bad outing against you guys last night is a sign of good things to come?

Oh god, this is one of my favourite things ever tight now. I adore baseball/football/tennis/whatever j2, and this was fantastic, I can't wait already to reread it!
